Helping members and visitors find, book and pay online
The Donald Simpson Community Centre in Cleveland needed its website to work harder for members and visitors. Activities, trips, events and membership all needed clear pathways, with a reliable way to book and pay online rather than relying on paper-only forms for everyday tickets and trips. The website also needed to explain the wider centre offering before people visited, while giving members access to the information and benefits relevant to them.
Our approach
Rebuilt and extended the website to bring more than 40 activity types, the Hub Cafe, facilities hire, volunteering, donations, sponsorship and membership into one place. The content structure helped visitors explore what the centre offers before choosing an activity or getting in touch.
Built custom ticket and trip bookings with Stripe card payments. Booking options covered member and non-member pricing and additional guests, so the online process reflected the different ways people attend centre activities.
Included booking notes for needs such as allergies and mobility. This gave visitors a place to provide relevant information when arranging a ticket or trip, alongside their booking and payment details.
Added membership join and renewal forms, contact and donation forms, and a members' area. The member features included the timetable, store, cafe ordering and trip discounts, bringing these pathways onto the same platform.
Provided hosting and ongoing site support so the website can be maintained as the centre's programs change. This supports the everyday publishing and booking environment rather than treating the rebuild as a one-off launch.
A clearer path from discovering the centre to making a booking
Staff can take everyday ticket and trip bookings with online card payment instead of relying on paper-only forms. Members have clearer pathways to renew, book and use centre benefits, while visitors can explore the activities, cafe and facilities before they arrive. Member and non-member pricing, additional guests and booking notes are handled within the booking journey. Hosting and ongoing support keep the website aligned with the centre's changing programs.
