Public health technology information and private committee access
Queensland Health's Health Policy Advisory Committee on Technology (HealthPACT) needed a clear public home for decisions and reports on new and emerging health technology. Clinicians, policymakers and the public needed to be able to find the committee's work, while committee members needed access to private papers and resources before meetings. The website had to serve both audiences without publishing private committee material to the open web, and the HealthPACT team needed to be able to keep publishing after launch.
Our approach
Designed and built the HealthPACT website at healthpact.com.au as a two-layer platform: an open public website and a members' login. The structure separated public-facing information from private committee resources while bringing both journeys into one website.
Developed the information architecture around About, Public Decisions, Public Reports and Helpful Links. These distinct sections gave clinicians, policymakers and members of the public clear starting points for exploring HealthPACT's role and published work on new and emerging health technology.
Created an In Focus strip for the latest bulletins and decisions. This gave recent publishing a visible place alongside the main content sections, helping visitors find updates without having to work through the entire collection of reports.
Implemented a secure members' login so committee members could access private papers and resources ahead of meetings. The members' area supported the committee's meeting cycles without making that material part of the public publishing journey.
Loaded decisions and reports, set up hosting and handed over the website with training. This combined the initial build and content publishing work with a practical handover so the HealthPACT team could continue maintaining and publishing its own material after launch.
One platform for public transparency and committee resources
The delivered website gave HealthPACT's technology decisions and reports a structured public home, with recent bulletins and decisions highlighted through In Focus. Its members' area provided a separate place for private committee papers and meeting resources. Together, the two layers supported public discovery and internal access without treating every document as public content. Content loading, hosting setup and handover training helped the HealthPACT team take responsibility for ongoing publishing. This was a separate Queensland Health engagement from TPR Media's online training platform for doctors.
